CCC’s Board of Directors: Call For Nomination

provided by CCC

November 8, 2003 – In 2004 Cross Country Canada (CCC) will be adopting a new governance structure. The Board of Directors of CCC will be a policy-style Board focusing on defining organizational policy (in contrast to operational policy) and on addressing the long-term needs of the association.

The next step in this process will be the election of a new Board which will be comprised of a President, an Athlete Director and six (6) Directors-at-Large. A Nominating Committee has been appointed to assemble a slate of candidates to be considered for election by the Owners as the Board of CCC. This election will take place early in 2004.

If you or anyone you know is interested in seeking a nomination for any of the Board positions please advise a member of the Nominating Committee before November 30, 2003. While the Nominating Committee is expected to actively seek out the best possible candidates for Board positions, we urge you all to get involved in the process.

Information on the new governance model, the composition of the Board, the procedure for elections, etc. is contained in the Governance Report that was approved at the 2003 AGM and is posted on the CCC web site.

Please feel free to contact a member of the Committee should you have any questions. Nominating Committee: Jim McCarthy email: jmccarthy@eisa.com Roslyn Smith email: rsmith@maca.gov.nt.ca Bruce LeGrow email: bruce.legrow@nf.sympatico.ca
