January 08, 2011 (Thunder Bay, ON) – Perianne Jones (Nakertok) was the top skier in the women’s 1.2km classic sprint qualifications on Saturday at the NorAm and Worlds Senior/U23/Junior Trials underway in Thunder Bay. Women’s 15km pursuit winner, Dasha Gaiazova (Rocky Mountain Racers) was second followed by her team mate, Andrea Dupont, in third. For the men it was Team Hardwood’s Len Valjas with a comfortable lead over of Stefan Kuhn (Canmore Nordic) in second with Philip Widmer also from Canmore Nordic in third.
