This event is designed as a test for the World Cup races to be held in early December at the Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre. As a result, there will be only the Open Category (M & W) on each race day.

SEEDING: For open class races, the current seeding period points lists (SPLs) for both distance races and sprint races prepared from the FIS and Canada Points Lists will be used to determine seeding.

For all races the Senior Men and Junior Men and the Senior Women and Junior Women classes will be combined for seeding purposes and run as single open classes. These open classes will then be separated into individual categories (Senior Men, Junior Men, Senior Women and Junior Women) for awards and results listing.

Mass start

In the mass start races (Pursuit without a Break) Open Men and Open Women classes will be seeded by using the Distance SPL. The best skier gets position one in the start grid. Those not on the Distance SPL will be drawn as a group and placed behind the last SPL skier The number of entries will be limited to 100 skiers of each gender in the pursuit event, due to restrictions on space and equipment; in the event that more that 100 men or more than 100 women register, seeding/limitation will take place according to points. .

Sprints In the sprint races seeding for the qualification round for Open Men (Senior Men and Junior Men) and Open Women (Senior Women and Junior Women) will be done by Sprint SPL. Skiers with CCC licences but no CCC points will be grouped and randomly drawn. FIS licence holders will be drawn before those holding only CCC licences. Foreign competitors with FIS points will be included in the top seed and placed in that seed as best possible by comparing their FIS points to those of the Canadian competitors.

CCC Competitor Licences must be ordered in advance through the competitors’ club and cannot be issued by the race organizers.
Please ensure that your licence is up to date and that you know the number when you
