February 6, 2007 (Zakapone, Poland) – On Saturday World Cup leading Hannu Manninen won the postponed Nordic combined event in Zakopane in Poland. The Fin, Manninen, won the 10km mass start in a time of 28:00.5 minutes, ahead of compatriot Jaakko Tallus (29:39.7). The 23-year-old German Bjoern Kircheisen came third in 29:40.8. The event was halted Friday due to poor weather conditions. Canadian Max Thompson finished 18th, 3:25.30 back from Manninen.
In the second event of the day Bjoern Kircheisen finished ahead of Hannu Manninen to win the 7.5-kilometre sprint for Germany. Kircheisen won the jumping section with a leap of 133.5 metres, which meant he had a six-second lead in the 7.5km sprint section.
His winning time of 20:14.3 minutes meant that Manninen had to settle for second place, some 15.7 seconds behind him. Norwegian Magnus Moan came in third at 20:37.8. FIS listed no Americans or Canadians among the top 44 finishers.
