release by Rottefella AS

January 8, 2008 (Klokkarstua, Norway) – Bjerknes has been the managing director of Rottefella AS since 2003, and leaves a company which is well-positioned as international market leader within the development and production of bindings for cross country, telemark and alpine touring.

During Bjerknes’ time as managing director of the company, Rottefella has increased revenues and market shares. During the same period, the company has developed and launched more than 13 unique binding models, acquired Naxo AG, the Swiss producer of bindings, as well as for the first time reaching a level of more than 1 million bindings produced in 2007. In January 2008, Rottefella will open a new and fully automated plastic factory in Hurum/Norway. The new plastic factory will establish Rottefella as the most modern binding producer in the ski industry.

The process of finding a new managing director for the company has been initiated, and Bjerknes will leave his current position as soon as this process has been completed, but no later than June 1, 2008.

Bjerknes leaves the company at his own request, as he will assume the position of managing director of Swix AS. The board of directors of Rottefella appreciates the contribution and effort he has made as managing director of Rottefella, and wishes Bjerknes the best of luck in his future endeavours.
