January 02, 2012 (Rumford, ME) – The 2012 US Cross Country National Championships are back on track and the 1.4/1.6km Freestyle Sprints, originally scheduled for Jan. 2 but had to be postponed due to warm weather conditions and overnight rain, have been rescheduled for a 9am start on Tues., Jan. 3, at Black Mountain of Maine in Rumford.

New was just received that the Organizing Committee plans to hold the freestyle sprint competitions saying…”The jury has met and has decided that the freestyle sprint race will be held Tuesday at 9 AM.” Area weather forcasts call for a general cooling trend beginning tonight, which should allow for fine skiing weather on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Prior to the postponement we caught up with CSU’s Rob Bradlee and APU’s Erik Flora on New Years Day, when conditions looked favourable, for their take on the waxing strategies at Black Mountain…
