September 5, 2008 (Camore, AB) – As most of you already know, Marie-Josée Guay left the position of Athlete Development Coordinator back in May to accept a position as Recreation and Leisure Program Coordinator with the Town of Canmore. Marie-Josée joined the CCC staff in February 2006 and quickly became an integral and knowledgeable member of the team. We wish MJ good luck in her new position and thank her for her dedicated work in the office.
At this time we are pleased to welcome Phil Wood as our new Athlete Development Coordinator. We are pleased to be able to hire a person like Phil who has been through our athlete development system as he will be in a position to use his first hand experience in our roll out of the LTAD over the coming months.
Phil is a graduate of the Bachelor of Science Degree at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He was a member of the National Team Development Centre in Thunder Bay between 2005 and 2008, a member of the 2007 Canadian Team for Under-23 World Championships as well as a member of the 2007 Canadian Team for World University Games.
Phil is looking forward to bringing his skills to bear in CCC’s efforts to “Target the Podium†in the exciting years that lie ahead. Welcome to our Team, Phil!
