November 7, 2008 (Canmore, AB) – Canada’s top biathletes will have access to world-leading medical care in their drive to the international podium thanks to a new partnership with Rocky Mountain Rehab and Sports Medicine Clinic, Biathlon Canada announced recently.

Rocky Mountain Rehab and Sports Medicine Clinic, which has been a staple in supporting high-performance athletes in Canmore, Alta. since 1995, will provide physiotherapy and acupuncture medical services to Biathlon Canada’s national team athletes at a reduced cost that will aid in injury recovery, provide council on injury prevention, all while helping to boost athletic performance.

“We have a deep commitment to sports medicine in the truest spirit, and are delighted to help ensure our nation’s top biathletes are in the best condition possible to be fully prepared to win each time they hit the start line,” said Grant Richardson, Owner/Operator, Rocky Mountain Rehab and Sports Medicine Clinic. “We understand the rigor sport has on an athlete’s body in their pursuit of excellence, and it is our goal to provide the best physiotherapy to fulfill their athletic goals. Biathlon Canada, the governing body for biathlon in the country, oversees the Canadian Championships, Eastern and Western Canadian Championships, and North American Cups held in Canada.
