January 3, 2009 (Anchorage, AK) – Today’s scheduled 1km classic technique Sprints at the 2009 US XC Ski National Championships have been postponed until tomorrow Sunday, January 4 due to cold temperatures that have hung around the Anchorage area for a week. Race organizers originally delayed the race start until 1pm today but decided to cancel and re-schedule the events to tomorrow hoping it will warm up. However, tomorrow appears to have similar temperatures as today forecast in the -5F (-20C) range which could jeopardize the event again.
