January 5, 2009 (Whistler, BC) – With just over a year to go until the start of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games, the Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) – the host site of the Nordic sports – is busy with pre-Olympic World Cup activity. From January 16-25, the WOP will play host to the Nordic World Cup Festival, that will see seven World Cup events contested from Cross-Country, to Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping.

Whistler Olympic Park, B.C. Canada upcoming World Cup Events:

– Viessmann Cross-Country (CC) FIS – January 16 – 18, 2009
– DKB Nordic Combined (NC) FIS – January 16 – 17, 2009
– Ski Jumping (SJ) FIS – January 24 – 25, 2009

These events will bring together some of the world’s best cross-country, Nordic combined and ski jumping athletes at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games competition venue. Admission is free to all events.
