March 5, 2009 (Canmore, AB) – Want to learn more about Fast and Female presented by Best Buy and its exciting programming targeted to young girls between the ages of 9 and 19 years old? Look no further as the organization just released a new, dynamic video clip, available a click away!

Effective immediately, web surfers can view the clip here. The clip can also be accessed from www.fastandfemale.com. Launched in 2005 by Olympic Gold Medalist in Cross-Country Skiing, Chandra Crawford, Fast and Female presented by Best Buy is a not-for-profit organization intently focused on inspiring young female athletes to lead healthy and active lives through sports.

With its new video available online, Fast and Female presented by Best Buy hopes to connect with an even greater number of potential event participants across Canada. The organization also hopes this dynamic clip will help to reach new corporate sponsors dedicated to supporting young women’s participation in sports.

In less than a month, Fast and Female presented by Best Buy will host its annual Ski Festival at Canada Olympic Park (COP) in Calgary, Alberta. On March 28, 2009, 150 female youth participants and 20 elite racers and 20 volunteers will join Crawford and her National Team teammates including Sara Renner for a full, free day of skate ski drills, biathlon, yoga, dancing, healthy eating, and inspirational presentations.

The day’s events will also feature an adult “Amazing Tips” seminar, targeted specifically to parents, coaches, sports leaders and educators working with female athletes. The Fast and Female Ski Festival will officially kick off on Thursday, March 26 with a VIP, adult fundraising cocktail held from 4 to 7 p.m. at BELGO Restaurant in downtown Calgary.
