December 07, 2012 (Quebec City, QC) – Great crowds were on hand for qualifcations that saw US 1 team’s Kikkan Randall and Jessie Diggins win their 1.6kmx6 FR semi-final heat as US 2 with Holly Brooks and Ida Sargent also advanced to the final. In the men’s race it was Devon Kershaw and Alex Harvey winning their heat as well advancing to the final as did Canada 2 with Len Valjas and Jessie Cockney also making the cut. The first two teams in each semi-final heat advanced automatically then the remaining six (6) teams are based on the fastest times. Chandra Crawford had an unfortunate crash in her heat as no Canadian women made the final and the US men were also out of their final as well.
