VANOC vs Canada: Home-Snow Advantage Update

August 15, 2009 (Vancouver, BC) – According to a recent article in the Globe and Mail most national sports organizations are happy six months out from the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games although not everyone is so sure the squabbles are over. With the eyes of the international sports community watching closely VANOC has to balance staging the best Games while helping Canadians win medals. “We would probably always want more, but we’re happy with what we’ve got,” said Cross Country Canada interim executive director Bruce Jeffries. “If we’re not able to deliver a medal, we would be bitterly disappointed.
