Man-made Snow Loop at Vail
Ski Club Vail installed snowmaking on a 1.5km XC ski trail at the base of the alpine area with some good terrain. They will have it operational this year (skiable) by Nov 4. They started blowing snow yesterday. In future years, with appropriate weather, they plan to open it in mid-October. They have not set final fees yet, but it sounds like it will be in the $10-12 range. They are also hoping to add a km or two in the next few years using the golf course trail system and infrastructure. (Passed along by Nathan Schultz, Boulder Nordic Sport)
