November 12, 2009 (Vail, CO) – The name Vail conjures up images of mountains and money, fur coats and alpine World Cups. But the growing interest in Nordic skiing and the dedication of two coaches in the valley, has led to a wonderful cooperative venture between Vail Mountain and the Vail Nordic Ski Club.

Coaches Karl Hochtl and Dan Wieland are excited about these photos of their junior skiers getting some early season, on-snow training in, thanks to Vail Mountain’s snowmaking on 1.5km loop at the base of the mountain.
