November 12, 2009 – The International Biathlon Union (IBU) has introduced an anti-doping education program called “Clean Biathlon World”. A pun on the ideal of every marksperson, to ‘shoot clean”, this online program is meant to make athletes aware of what consititutes doping, and encourage them to avoid obvious attempts to help them dope, as well as avoid mistakes with not-so-obvious supplements.

From the site itself, this “is an online educational programme for athletes and support personnel, covering the new World Anti Doping Code. Here you will learn the basics of the code through nine short, snappy and fun modules. You don’t have to do the whole program in one go. When you have completed all modules, this will be registered and you will receive a certificate.”
