CXC Needs Your Old XC Bindings!
The Central Cross Country Ski Association Adaptive Program for individuals with physical disabilities is searching for your used Salomon XC bindings. CXC is building sit skis for skiers with spinal cord injuries and illnesses and leg amputations. Sit skis will be offered at no charge at developing Opportunity Centers. These Centers will be located throughout the Midwest Snowbelt, offering cross country skiing equipment and lessons. The skiing public and others with access to used and outdated bindings can help to support this effort by simply digging through the basement and donating used Salomon SNS Profil bindings (bindings can be missing rail and/or rubber bumper). Each sit ski is outfitted with two pair of bindings, one under each of four legs. Bindings can be dropped off at CXC Super Fit participating stores during the months of October through December. The stores include Gear West Ski & Run, Hoigaard’s, Fontana Sports, Finn Sisu, Bicycle Doctor, Riverbrook Bike & Ski. You can also ship them to CXC at 200 E. Verona Ave, PMB 133, Verona, WI 53593.
