January 23, 2010 (Rybinsk, Russia) – Sunday’s FIS XC World Cup Freestyle Team Sprint in Rybinsk, Russia will feature two Canadian teams represented by Sean Crooks/Brent McMurtry and Graham Nishikawa/ Phil Widmer. Due to cold temperatures there will be no qualifying round and the teams will proceed directly to the final heat.

McMurtry and Widmer did not compete in today’s men’s 30km pursuit and McMurtry commented this morning: “Woke up with my body feeling a little off, decided 30km in -20 was not the best idea.” Hopefully both athletes will be over, or fight through, their flu symptoms.
