Norway Names Arild Monsen as New Sprint Coach

April 19, 2013 – Arild Monsen (51) has been appointed new sprint coach of team Norway. Monsen, who has coaching experience from Canada and Sweden trained Teodor Peterson and Emil Joensson, who dominated the sprint World Cup in the last two World Cup seasons.

Former coach Ulf Morten Aune will continue as the head coach of the sprint team. “With Arild we have strengthened the coaching staff. He will have a key role in each skiers’ training. We believe Ulf Morten and Arild have skills that will lead to a positive development of the whole team,” Vidar Løfshus, head coach of the Norwegian team explained.
