June 13, 2013 – Cross Country Canada is pleased to announce that Martine Zilligen is now filling the previously vacant position of marketing coordinator. Martine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in Kinesiology and will bring her past marketing experience in both the pharmaceutical and health and fitness industries to her new role.

She will be responsible for supporting CCC’s fundraising and marketing objectives designed to generate revenue and resources required to ensure the organization’s continued growth and development. Her responsibilities will also include lending support to sponsorship activation, supplier pool management and the general promotion of the CCC brand.

Martine was originally hired in March 2011 as CCC’s administrative assistant and later moved into a co-ordinator of administration and communication role. Martine possesses a thorough understanding of Cross Country Canada’s marketing goals and is looking forward to applying her skills and enthusiasm to this new role. Martine’s first day in the marketing coordinator role was June 3rd.

We are also pleased to announce the hiring of Sherry Thompson as CCC’s assistant administrator. A respected professional with over 20 years of accounting and administrative experience in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, Sherry brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to CCC in this role.

Her reputation for high work standards will no doubt bring value to the CCC Team. Sherry has also been filling a Board of Director position as the volunteer treasurer of Biathlon Alberta for the past seven years and brings experience in organizing and officiating at regional, national and international ski events. She is also Sport Chair for the 2014 Alberta Winter Games. Sherry started in her new role with CCC on June 3rd.
