September 15, 2013 (Wilmington, NY) – Liz Stephen and Tim Burke are the winners of the 7th annual NYSEF Whiteface Climb to the Castle Rollerski Race. The course started at the Whiteface Toll Booth, climbing for 5 miles with an average 8% grade up the Whiteface Memorial Highway to the castle on the summit of Whiteface Mountain, New York’s 5th highest peak with an elevation of 4,867 ft. Hello out there—another new course record for LIZ—1:29 faster with a time of 42:04—puts her 9th in the men’s race. Best conditions of the last 4-5 yrs on White face—low winds down low, dry pavement all the way and quite comfortable temps as you can see from the attire. This lady has set new course records all summer—she has a mtn running future when she is done skiing.
