November 17, 2013 – Oslo, Norway has formally submitted it’s bid to host the 2012 Winter Olympic Games joining its Scandinavian neighbour Stockholm, Sweden in the competition. Additional applications have come from Lviv, Ukraine; Beijing and the northern Chinese city of Zhangjiakou; Almaty, Kazakhstan; and a joint bid from Krakow, Poland, and Jasna, Slovakia. The IOC deadline for applications was November 14th. Oslo .
