November 01, 2014 – According to TV2, Norwegian cross-country skiing star Petter Northug will skip the final week of altitude training in Val Senales, Italy.  Northug arrived at the camp fighting an illness and has decided there is nothing to be gained by remaining at such an altitude.

The Norwegian Ski Federation declared midnight November 1st  to be the deadline for Northug to sign the team agreement enabling him to compete for Norway in World Cup and World Championship competitions.
