June 17, 2015 (Lumsden, SK) – The Town of Lumsden and the Qu’Appelle Nordic Sport and Recreation Center have been nominated for the Kraft Play Award. This is a competition where communities can be nominated and the most popular is awarded a $250k prize.

The QVN facility was nominated because it promotes healthy lifestyles and wellness for many through Nordic sport, specifically Biathlon and Cross Country Skiing, for many people, young and old, in the Lumsden, Regina and Moose Jaw areas.
