July 27, 2015 – The Putney School, a residential high school in Putney, Vermont, is seeking a head coach with previous experience to run their competitive program for the winter trimester – December 1-12 and January 4 – March 5, 2016.

Job description for Head Coach – Nordic Skiing

Responsibilities:
-run the school’s nordic competitive ski program
-plan and execute practice 5x week
-participate in regional New England meets
-work with assistant coach(es)
-manage the wax room and oversee student equipment
-oversee trails; preparation/grooming
-coach a competitive team and nurture the Nordic ski community at the school
-optional – ski trail grooming for additional pay

Requirements
-coaching experience required
-previous work with high school students a plus.
