July 28, 2015 (Canmore, AB) – Cross-Country Ski de fond Canada (CCC) is seeking an outstanding Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide leadership and assume overall responsibility for the operation and administration of CCC business including human and financial resources. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for strategy development, planning, relationship management and funds development.

This position is located in Canmore, Alberta, a picturesque and authentic mountain lifestyle community enveloped by the majesty of the Canadian Rockies and just one hour west of Calgary.

The Organization
Cross-Country Ski de fond Canada is the national sport organization that works with member clubs, divisions, and other partners to coordinate and support the development of cross-country skiing from introductory experience to international excellence through leadership, education, promotion, and training. Our Vision is to inspire a nation to international excellence and podium success, health, and participation.

The Fit
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional senior leader who possesses a post-secondary degree, ideally an MBA / MPA or equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible management experience and at least three years at the senior management level. As a strategic thinker, dedicated professional and self-starter, the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and multi-tasked environment with an emphasis on timelines and delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in marketing, fundraising and communication as well as building and maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders. In addition, the candidate will have strong business writing, presentation and verbal communication skills in English and preferably also in French.
