October 26, 2015 (Park City, Utah) – The US XC Ski Team is in Park City, Utah for their final training camp before the 2015/16 season gets underway in Europe. The camp brings together all 16 national-team members along with skiers from other top clubs/teams such as APU, SVSEF, SMS-T2 and Craftsbury Green Racing Project for some bonding and healthy rivalry.

As a finale to the camp the team is staging a rollerski Mini Tour on a course at Soldier Hollow with a full skate sprint held on Oct. 25 as the women raced on a 1.3km course while the men’s was 1.7km. All athletes competed in each of four rounds – qualifications, quarterfinals, semis and finals. On Day 2 (Oct. 26) both men and women skied a mass start 15km classic (closer to 14km). The final skate pursuit start is on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

According to Jessie Diggins’ blog “Should be painful but fun!”… she won today. Meanwhile Head Coach Chris Grover told us, “Great conditions both days. Good weather. Some excellent battles out there.”
