West Yellowstone Ski Festival and Fall Training Camp Nov. 24-28 – Over 10″ of Snow

westyellowstoneNovember 07, 2015 (West Yellowstone, MT) – West Yellowstone received 10+ inches of snow the first week of November, with the forecast calling for more. The Rendezvous Ski Trails are covered and the South Plateau is shaping up nicely. Our team is out on the trails in town so that they will be rolled, groomed, and ready for the Yellowstone Ski Festival.

With the 2015 Yellowstone Ski Festival in sight, the final details are wrapping up. It is not too late to register for a clinic. Consider a three or five day Nordic clinic to start the ski season off right. Or a one or two day to fit your holiday schedule. Take in an early season race. There are five different races at this year’s ski festival. Online registration is available now. Sign up by Thursday, November 19 to avoid late fees. The schedule is updated constantly, so check back often.

The Indoor Expo is packed with all things Nordic and free of charge. West Yellowstone Fall Training Camp – Ski with a Pro

Want to start your Nordic ski season off on the right foot? What better way than on the reliable snow of West Yellowstone’s Rendezvous Ski Trails, and with a seasoned coach like those that staff the West Yellowstone Fall Training Camp? The coaches think snow and skiing just about year round, and are ready to give you just the tips and techniques you need to launch your season with the best focus for you.

This is no stand-around-and-learn kinda deal either. The coaches know that the best way ingrain effective movement is through practice. Plan on logging some k’s. You’ll also get feedback, in the dose that’s right for you. While some just need a new focus and mileage, others benefit from a more consistent stream of information about whether and how much they’re performing the task to the desired degree. The coaches know how to pace the flow of information, and offer up a great balance of new information, drills, and practice.

Not only will you get great instruction and a fitness bump for skiing 1, 2, 3 or 5 days, but you’ll be immersed in a touchstone event for the cross country ski culture, with on snow demos, an indoor expo and lectures in the evening. Event organizers bring in a keynote lecture to entertain and inspire. There’s even a session called Women, Wine and Waxing where SWIX wax guru Jack Hart will give a short and informative clinic followed by time to wax your own skis!
