January 07, 2016 (Obertsorf, Germany) – We are pleased to announce the standings after stage #4 of the FIS 2016 Tour de Ski in Obertsdorf, Germany that saw the USA’s Sophie Caldwell (USA) make history when she won the women’s 1.2km CL sprint as only the second American woman to ever win a World Cup and the first to win a classic sprint World Cup (read our coverage here). In the men’s race, Canada’s Len Valjas (CAN) logged a strong 10th pace finish. (read our coverage here).
Team Geo has taken over the lead with 414 points, while Burwalde Bandit has taken a spot on the leader board in second place with 409 points. Previous stage leader team BuRIa is still in the race with 407 points in what is becoming an exciting race as the final weekend of the 2016 Tour de Ski approaches.
