February 02, 2016 (Cheile Gradistei, Romania) – The Junior Relays wrapped up the 2016 IBU Youth/Junior World Championships in Romania as Norway grabbed gold in the Junior Women’s 3x6km relay only 15.6s ahead of silver medalists Sweden. The USA and Canada’s women had tough days, with Team USA (Madeleine Phaneuf, Siena Ellingson, Claire Waichler) finishing 12th and nearly six minutes behind the leaders, while the Canadians (Kendall Chong, Charlotte Hamel, Leilani Tam von Burg) did not finish.

Russia dominated the Junior Men’s 4×7.5km event, besting second place, Germany, by nearly two minutes. The Czech Republic was more than a minute back again for third. The Canadians (Matthew Strumm, Alex Dupuis, Pearce Hanna, Aidan Millar) finished 14th, with Team USA (Paul Thomas Everett, Brian Halligan, Brendan Cyr, and Travis Cooper) winding up 18th.
