March 06, 2010 (Rangeley, ME) – The NENSA Marathon Series concluded today with the Rangeley Lakes Loppet. The men’s 50km freestyle race was won by Maine Winter Sport Center’s Russell Currier in a time of 2:12:31.6. Less than a minute behind was Berkshire Trails’ Bret Bedard, and Maine’s own David Chamberlain was 3rd in the men’s race with a time of 2:16:59.0
The women’s 50k crown went to Erin Hatton, of Bowdoin College, who finished over eight minutes ahead of Harvard Ski Team’s Alena Tofte and Esther Kennedy.
