NENSA Skiers Hosmer and Gray Win 6 Medals at 2016 Masters World Cup in Vuokatti

February 19, 2016 – Four NENSA skiers came home with medals and top results from the 2016 Masters World Cup in Vuokatti Finland. Bob Gray, Chris Dorion, Trina Hosmer and Dave Hosmer where among the 60 racers from the US at the 2016 Masters World Cup. A total of 950 skiers ranging age from 30 to 86 from across the globe competed for 10 days in classic or skate at distances, depending on age, from 45 to 5 kilometers. Gray and Hosmer accounted for 6 of the 8 medals won by US skiers.  Bob came home with 2 silvers and a bronze.  Trina won all 3 of her races by large margins. In the 15k she won by more than 7 minutes. Dorion finished in the middle of the pack in an extremely competitive age class.  Full results are at www.mwc2016.com.

The 2017 Masters World Cup will be held in Klosters, Switzerland and in Minneapolis in 2018.

After the trip Hosmer said, “I had a great time at the MWC in Vuokatti and am looking forward to Klosters next year!”
