The Organization:
Cross-Country Ski de fond Canada is the national sport organization that works with member clubs, divisions, and other partners to coordinate and support the development of cross-country skiing from introductory experience to international excellence through leadership, education, promotion, and training. Our Vision is to inspire a nation to international excellence and podium success, health, and participation.
The Opportunity:
This is a full-time coaching position located at the National Training Centre in Canmore, Alberta. Reporting to the High Performance Director, Cross-Country Ski de fond Canada (CCC) is seeking an outstanding senior team coach to provide leadership and assume responsibility for the delivery of the comprehensive pursuit of excellence in human performance for Canada’s Team 2018 and Team 2022 athletes. This position is designed to be part of a dynamic high performance team that is committed to developing, improving and sustaining Canada’s international ranking in cross-country skiing. The position involves the integration of its National Ski Team program into a broader High Performance System that shares in a common vision of sporting excellence in cross-country skiing and creates productive linkages within CCC’s high performance system at the National Training Centre and Club levels.
The Fit:
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional coach with extensive coaching and technical qualifications supplemented by strong communication, motivational, presentation and effective organizational skills. This position requires a willingness to work towards a shared purpose in a team environment. Extensive traveling during the entire year is required to attend training camps and competitions.
