June 24, 2016 – Join our team. Ski Fit North Alberta is looking to hire a Program Coordinator that is responsible for the direct coordination, implementation and delivery of the Ski Fit North Alberta program and services and reports to the Program Director.
The Organization:
Operated in partnership with Cross Country Canada and Cross Country Alberta, Ski Fit North Alberta (SFNA) is a program designed to engage, empower and educate Alberta’s Indigenous children and youth with sport and activity, through the life-long sport of cross-country skiing. Working cooperatively with schools and communities, SFNA engages children in regular sport programming, providing them with outdoor exercise, inspirational activities, and opportunities designed to maximize health and well-being.
The Opportunity:
Ski Fit North Alberta (SFNA) is looking for an enthusiastic and outstanding individual to join our team, and lead delivery and implementation of the Ski Fit North Alberta program for the 2016-2017 season. This is a unique opportunity for an energetic, adventurous, and culturally sensitive coordinator genuinely excited about working together with children and youth. The position requires moderate physical fitness, a strong technical ability in cross-country skiing, and the capacity to travel extensively throughout the province of Alberta during the winter months. Reporting to the Program Director, SFNA is looking for an upbeat individual who is excited about making a difference to Indigenous children and their communities, and ready to make a positive contribution to our team.
