March 16, 2010 Here are some great photos from the 2010 Vancouver Paralympic Opening Ceremonies held on Friday at BC Place Stadium. Guests of honour included Rick Hansen, Betty and Rolly Fox, Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Premier Gordon Campbell, Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson, Whistler Mayor Ken Melamed, and Governor General Michaelle Jean. The inspiring celebration featured Paralympic athletes, hundreds of children, the hosting First Nations, and the Paralympic mascots. The 10th Paralympic Games and the first such Games to be held in Canada run through March 21.
