October 04, 2016 (Woodstock, Vermont) – The Cross Country Ski Areas Association (CCSAA) announces the Utah and Colorado Fall Summits to take place this October. The CCSAA Summit Series are short, one day regional meetings keying in on relevant topics. The Utah meeting will be held on Monday October 17 at the USSA Center of Excellence and the Colorado meeting will take place on Monday October 24 at the Frisco Nordic Center.
In a move to provide better service to the membership, these regional meetings will effectively bring important content to those that cannot attend the Annual Meeting. “This is an exciting time for CCSAA”, said Board President JoJo Toeppner, “we have new leadership and with that, a new direction that will provide additional programming and value to our membership. Events like the Summits are just the beginning”.
Morning seminars will be 30 minute sprints, 25min presentations with 5min of questions. The CO event will be followed by a short bounding technique clinic led by the PSIA national Demo Team. There will be plenty of time for networking between talks and at the conclusion of the meeting.
“The new format of the regional CCSAA Meetings is a brilliant step for the organization”, stated Rick Hodges, Board Member and 10 Week Winter founder. “It brings real content to the members in a concise and local forum. I hope all the CO and UT members and prospective members attend!”
