November 15, 2016 (Oberhofen, SUI)- Following the meeting of the FIS Council on 5th November 2016 in Oberhofen (SUI), one of the important topics on the agenda was establishing the FIS Universal Code of Ethics.
The Council’s legal working group consisting of Vice-President Janez Kocijancic, Members Patrick Smith and Dean Gosper established the FIS Code of Ethics, which underlines the FIS no-tolerance policy to any form of unethical behaviour.
The FIS Code of Ethics will be a “living document” and updated in accordance with any developments and issues that need addressing.
One of the important aspects in relation to the Code is to obtain the input from the National Ski Associations and all stakeholders adhering to it.
Please note that the Code does not include Anti-Doping matters or Manipulation of Competitions, which are covered in other documents and it thereby only makes reference.
FIS welcomes any feedback by e-mail to ethics-code@fisski.com.
