November 29, 2016 (Toronto, ON) – With a record 500+ teams entered we’re happy to announce the latest leaders of the SkiTrax FIS Fantasy World Cup Contest after round one of the 2016-17 Viessmann FIS World Cup in Ruka, Finland. On day one in Ruka Team USA skier, Sadie Bjornsen, led the North American women placing 17th in the CL Sprint (read more here) while Canada’s Alex Harvey was 25th for the men (read more here). In the 10/15km CL interval start the USA’s Jessie Diggins was a solid 13th (read more here) while Harvey delivered a strong 11th-place finish in the men’s race (read more here).
In the Fantasy Contest standings, team ahbfoster leads with 145 points while team Spurs2000 is just behind in second spot with 143 points. Team Haters Gonna Hate is in third place with a score of 135 points.

Does anyone know if the Fantasy Contest is only for certain World Cup weekends or all of them? I did not see the enter team page open at all this week before Lillehammer. At least when I was in there at 6pm on Thurs I didn’t see it. Why Ruka and not Lillehammer too? Just curious when I need to look again. Thanks…
