July 29, 2016 (Quebec City, Que.) – While not yet officially announced, it seems Canada’s Alex Harvey will now be racing on Salomon skis according to a July 13 posting on the his Instagram account:
“After so many years with the boots & bindings, I’m happy to announce that from now on, on top of the boots and bindings, I will be training and racing with Salomon skis! @salomon #salomonfamily.”
Harvey’s resume boasts over 20 podiums including four FIS Nordic World Championship medals – gold at Oslo in 2011 (Team Sprint), silver (Individual CL Sprint) and bronze (30km Skiathlon) at Falun 2015; and bronze at Val di Fiemme in 2013 (Individual CL sprint). As a U23 skier Harvey won gold in the 30km Skiathlon at Estonia in 2011 and he has three Junior Worlds medals as well. Previously, the 27-year-old skier from St.-Ferreol-Les-Neiges, QC was on Fischer.
