July 11, 2015 (Vienna, AUT) – Johannes Duerr, an Austrian cross-country skier whoe admitted to taking EPO and was kicked out the Sochi 2014 Games (read more here), will not be charged and a criminal investigation against him will be dropped reports the Associated Press. According to the report a state prosecution stated that Duerr “…won’t be charged as it was his first offense and he didn’t provide other athletes with banned substances.” Duerr was third on the final podium at the 2014 Tour de Ski.
