Blinkfestivalen in Norway Features 3,000 Entries – July 31-Aug. 3

July 30, 2019 (Norway) – Kicking off on Wednesday and running July 31 to August 3, the Blinkfestivalen features exciting Rollerski action in Ålgård, Sandnes and Lysebotn (NOR). FIS Cross-Country’s top stars and many of the world’s best Rollerski athletes have signed up for the divers Rollerski races during the four day programme. Thus, “Blink” reports a record number regarding registered participants with a total of 3.000 entries.

Amongst the starters are 41 World Championships medal winners of Cross-Country skiing and biathlon from 19 different nations. The side events attract many youngsters. Especially the Kid Camp records a fantastic presumed number of participants with over 3’500 children on the start line.

On Wednesday, 31st July the festival starts with the Blink Classic, a race over 60km from Ålgård to Sandnes, including a special new section of the double poling Lysebotn Opp – a 640m climb during 7.4 km.
