February 03, 2019 (Osrblie, Slovakia) – Canada’s Nadia Moser delivered a stellar 4th-place result finishing just off the podium in the women’s 7.5km Pursuit with four penalties while Chloe Levins was the top American in 10th with two missed targets. The Ukraine’s Ekaterina Bekh had two penalties in her gold medal effort for the win over Germany’s Hanna Kebinger who shot clean to take the silver medal at 9.1 seconds back. France’s Sophie Chaveau, with three penalties, won the bronze medal at 16.4 seconds behind Bekh.
Canada’s Leo Grandbois finished 38th with six penalties in the Men’s 12.5km Pursuit with Lars Hammernes Leopold (USA) 45th with four missed targets. Vebjoern Soerum of Norway had two penalties en route to victory. The silver medal went to France’s Martin Bourgeois Republique, who shot clean to finish just 6.2 seconds back. Norway’s Sivert Guttorm Bakken captured the bronze medal with three penalties, 12.6 seconds behind his teammate.
