January 24, 2017 – The Canadian men’s relay team of Devon Kershaw, Alex Harvey, Knute Johnsgaard and Len Valjas won a historic bronze medal after reaching the podium in the men’s 4×7.5km World Cup relay on January 22 in Ulricehamn, Sweden. This was the first time a men’s team has podiumed in the relay, and continues the momentum of the men’s squad that has developed this season so far. On January 21, Harvey took a stunning win in the Men’s 15km FR Individual Start, and a week earlier Harvey and Valjas stormed to a strong World Cup Team Sprint win in Toblach, Italiy.
