On behalf of Cross-Country Ski de fond Canada family, we wish all the best to the new parents on this exciting adventure!” posted CCC on its Facebook page.

Graham Nishikawa’s notable results include guiding Brian McKeever to the gold medal in the sprint race at the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi. He also won seven medals on the 2013 Haywood NorAm Circuit including three gold in 2013. Nishikawa, 33, also won two silver medals at 2013 Haywood Ski Nationals.

Madeleine (née Williams) Nishikawa retired from competitive ski racing after representing Canada at the 2010 Games in Vancouver-Whistler. She competed at numerous World Cups, two U23 World Championships and three World Junior Championships. In 2014, she took over chair responsibilities for CCC’s Women’s Committee – a group focused on shaping opportunities for girls, and women, in cross-country skiing across the country.

The two married in Whitehorse, YK, in 2013.
