June 12, 2015 – Thirteen athletes were elected to the FIS Athletes’ Commission 2015-2017 by their peers during the FIS World Championships 2015 for a two-year term. The official announcement of the members who will represent the athletes within FIS was made following the FIS Council Meeting on 7th June:

The newly elected Athletes’ Commission will be carrying on the successful work of the previous Commission, whose term came to an end this spring after two years of service.
Jessica Lindell-Vikarby will chair the Commission
During their first meeting on 4th June in Varna, the Athletes’ Commission appointed Jessica Lindell-Vikarby as its Chairperson. The giant slalom bronze medallist from the recent FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail-Beaver Creek (USA) has been a member of the Commission for the past two years. Mike Janyk, who also joined the Commission two years ago, was named Vice-Chair.
