April 28, 2017 – The Korea Ski Association (KSA) has suspended four national team members for six months and dropped them from the team for drinking beer during the Asian Winter Games held in Sapporo, Japan reports The Korean Herald. The South Korean xc skiers apparently only drank two cans of beer “…but we decided to mete out a punishment in order to prevent such an incident from happening again at international competitions and set the team discipline straight,” said an official from the KSA which also decided not to renew its contracts with three coaches.
