January 17, 2014 – Kashi Foods has launched the full-length version of a commercial, Call of the Wild, starring US XC ski star Kikkan Randall that follows her as she prepares for a day of training near her home in Alaska. In the ad, Randall talks about the importance of good nutrition for performance and touches on unique aspects of living in the northern state, like dark, cold mornings and the possibility of encountering a grizzly bear. These are the first-ever television commercials in North America to feature XC skiing. Last week, we posted the first Kashi Foods spot featuring Randall, called Kikkan vs. Kikkan — see is here.
