Grinding Up Granite in Wausau is Nov. 10

October 23, 2018 (Wausau, Wisconsin) – The CXC Rollerski Cup is a new race series establishing a dry-land competition for cross country skiers across the Central Region. In its inaugural season, the CXC Rollerski Cup will be comprised of three rollerski races. The events are open to everyone in U16, U18, U20, Senior and Master age category – ready and willing to challenge themselves!

First Race
The first race of the series is the Up, Up, and Away, a 10 kilometer hill climb with 274 meters of vertical climb at the Blue Mounds State Park just west of Madison, WI on November 3rd, 2018.

Competitors can choose between skate and classic, but the race considered for the CXC Rollerski Cup is the classic race.

Second Race
The second race of the series is the Grinding Up Granite, a 4 kilometer hill climb with 152 meters of vertical climb at the Wausau’s Granite Peak on November 10th, 2018.

For this event, both classic and skate races are counted towards the overall cup. Therefore, to get the most points, competitors should sign up and compete in both classic and skate races.

Competitors have to race on the matched Swenor rollerskis provided at the location of the events. The roller skis and bindings will be made available at the registration/start of each race.
