September 04, 2011 (Alaska) – We spent last week up on the glacier, for the final training camp of this summer. It turned out to be very decent weather, which inspired us all to hammer out some big hours. One thing that made this camp different was the new snow that we had almost every day, necessitating my first-ever use of hard-wax up there.
It was awesome to have the Sun Valley ODT and Pat O’Brien up there with us, even with Gelso constantly making fun of me… but I got him back by stealing from his bag of candy all week, which he still never found out about! Thanks for all those Reese’s Pieces Matt!!
Here’s the final glacier video for the summer… check it out, there are some antics in there for sure!
After a short recovery period, we are about to dive head-first into the fall intensity season, which I am actually sort of excited for. I really am not a huge fan of volume training, so getting to cut back the hours and go a little faster will be sweet.
I will be trying to post lots of updates as it unfolds!
