July 28, 2019 – Nordiq Canada is offering multiple coaching and wax tech development opportunities with the National Ski Team for the 2019/2020 race season and would like to make a call for applications for the following NST trips:

1. World Cup – Period 1 (December 3 – December 23, 2019 – Davos, Planica)
   
2. World Cup – Period 3 (January 2 – February 10, 2020 – Dresden, FIS race, Oberstdorf, Falun – sprint race)
   
3. World Cup –Period 4 (February 4 -25, 2020 – Falun – distance race and Scando Tour)
   
4. World Cup – Sprint Tour (March 11 – 18, 2020 – Quebec, Minneapolis)
   
5. World Cup Final (March 20-22, 2020 – Canmore)
   
6. 2020 WORLD JUNIOR/U23 (WJC-U23) (February 16 – March 8, 2020 – Oberwiesenthal, GER)

NB: note that final dates could change sensibly when trips are confirmed with participating athletes

Selected coaches and wax techs will be required to join for the entire period of a trip (more or less a few days to allow some flexibility if needed).

Staff selection criteria:

The selection of coaches and wax techs will be prioritized along the following considerations:

• NCCP certification status : minimum Competition Development In Training status by October 31^st 2019 (ie must have completed Comp-Dev. Dryland workshop) or wax tech experience on the NORAM racing series
• Targeted developmental objectives
• Capacity to work with a team of technicians and coaches

Nordiq Canada will assume all costs associated with the trip, including:

• Transportation (air and ground)
• Accommodation
• Meals
• A honorarium will be available and will be calculated based on the availability and capacities of the candidate.  This funding can be used by the club/team to assist in finding a replacement while their regular staff person is away on this NST trip.
